Burn is interesting as it gets interpreted differently depending on each viewers experience. My initial intention was to represent the anger that gets mixed in with the pain. Some grief or pain comes with a deep fire that burns as you deal with it. However, I have had others view it as a cleansing fire, leaving room for something new. I like that my work can be interpreted based on a person’s own experience. That is the best kind of art! So, however you view any image from this series, it is correct.
