Disconnect is that desire to just cut ourselves off from everything. What a relief it would be to simply not feel anymore! And it does feel good...at first. However, there are some serious consequences. I wanted to show the “disconnect” in that feeling. She is at peace with her choice and it does brings temporary relief, but she is not thinking about how the process is affecting her heart. This is not a long term solution.
